PAST SET DESIGNS
The set below, was designed by LIVE Kids Theater and used in the Martin Middle School production of Frozen Jr. Technical Theater students, ranging from 6th-8th grade, constructed the set pieces in 12 weeks. The side towers height were 10 feet and the center tower was 13 feet tall. The large snowflake was 9 feet across. The 3 towers were built on small platforms that spun to reveal the interior castle of Arendelle and then Elsa's Ice Palace. In order for the Ice Palace to be revealed, students had five minutes to attach the large snowflake wings to the center tower, bring in the large snowflake and ice crystals and plug in all the LED lights. It was. a spectacular reveal. Audience members "Ooohs" and "Ahhhs" was a complimentary sound. -2024
The set below, was designed by LIVE Kids Theater and used in the Martin Middle School production of, Shrek Jr. Technical Theater students, ranging from 6th-8th grade, constructed the set pieces in 12 weeks. The Shrek hut and tree stump is made of foam and carved by hand. The tower is a two part system weighing a whopping 400 pounds. The top portion of the tower had to be hoisted to the gridiron and then lower to the base. -2022
The castle below was designed by LIVE Kids Theater and used in the Martin Middle School production of, "The Very Unmerry Adventures of Robin Hood". Technical Theater students, ranging from 6th-8th grade, constructed the castle in under 9 weeks. The stone work is made of insulation foam and is all hand carved. -2021
