About Theater Camp for 2024
All Theater Camps at LIVE, this summer, will be Participating with Martin Middle Schools Students in presenting Frozen Jr. The objective of all camps will continue, as we have for 7 years, to introduce campers to the wonderful world of performing arts. Singing, acting, auditioning, understanding staging and dancing are a part of the learning experience and are NOT prerequisites for the camp. Although this camp is an introduction, it is designed to challenge your child and give him or her a sense of great achievement by the end of the week. 40 slots are available, per session.
Location
Session 1 is at Martin Middle School during the entire camp.
Sessions 2-5 will take place at 2 locations. Monday through Thursday will be at Ridge Road Baptist Church and Friday will be at Martin Middle School. Due to increasing rental fees imposed by WCPSS Community Use, we've had to split locations. No worries the locations are a half a mile, apart.

AUDITION INFORMATION
Auditions will be held on the first day of camp for all sessions. Once you register, audition information will be sent to you via email as we get closer to your session date.

8:00-8:30am Drop off (Early drop off is available beginning at 7:30am for an additional fee of $50 for the week and must be paid on the first day)
8:30 - 9:15 Morning Meeting & Warm Ups
9:15 - 10:00 Morning Rehearsal Block 1 (Students divided into 3 groups to work on singing, dancing or acting)
10:00 - 10:45 Morning Rehearsal Block 2
10:45 - 11:30 Morning Rehearsal Block 3
11:30 - 12:15 LUNCH (campers should bring their own lunch -- refrigerators and microwaves are not available)
12:15 - 1:00 Afternoon Rehearsal Block 1
1:00 - 1:45 Afternoon Rehearsal Block 2
1:45 - 2:30 Afternoon Rehearsal Block 3
2:30 - 3:30 Afternoon Wrap Up
3:30-4:00pm Dismissal
Early Arrival and Late Pickup
This is available upon request for a nominal fee. Please contact us for more information.
Costuming
Most costume pieces are INCLUDED in the registration fee. Campers will be expected to secure their own undergarments, jazz shoes or one time use items. Specific requirements for what you should obtain will be sent out after the first day of camp through email. We will exhaust our inventory of jazz shoes, if possible, but we do not have 40 pairs to lend.
Performances
To conclude the camp week, the students will perform the entire show, for each session, on that Friday night. The performance is at 6:30pm. This performance is open to the community and tickets are $10 at the door or digital. ONLY registered families will receive 4 physical complimentary tickets, per registration, to view the show.
Registration Fee
The registration fee for each Musical Theater Camp session is $370. A Spring Special Pricing has been extended for the Special Session, for $355. Payment must be made at least two weeks before the start of camp to reserve your spot. We also accept checks. Refunds cannot be made within the 2 weeks before the camp starts. You will receive a credit for another camp session or for the following year (Credit for the following camp year is at the discretion of the owners). If you would prefer to send a check, please make it payable to: LIVE Kids Theater and send to: Martin Middle School Attn: Roberto Velarde 1701 Ridge Rd. Raleigh, NC 27607. In the Note section please write Session 1, 2, 3, 4 or Special Session 5.
